Description

NGC 225, également connu sous le nom de l'amas du Voilier (de l'anglais The Sailboat Cluster), est un amas ouvert située à environ 2 000 années-lumière de la Terre dans la constellation de Cassiopée. Il a été découvert par Caroline Herschel en 1783.

NGC 225 est à environ 2 140 a.l. du système solaire.

Ce bel amas est accompagné d'une nébuleuse  sombre VdB4

NGC 225, also known as the Sailboat Cluster, is an open cluster located approximately 2,000 light years from Earth in the constellation Cassiopeia. It was discovered by Caroline Herschel in 1783.

NGC 225 is about 2,140 y.p. of the solar system
